  1. Meteorology By: Jacqueline Bolivar

  2. What is Meteorology? • Meteorology is weather science, the study of Earth’s atmosphere like the patters of the climate, and weather.

  3. How is math used in Meteorology? • Math is used in many ways like… • Estimating (ex: acceleration and/or deceleration) • Equations (ex: to find speed, predicting weather) • Finding Averages • Altitudes • Measuring • Hydrometry which is measuring water.

  4. How is science used in Meteorology? • Since meteorology is the scientific study of the atmosphere, this whole profession involves and is based on science.

  5. How is technology used in Meteorology? • The type of technology that is used in meteorology is by using satellites, radars, wind sensors, lighting detections, tornado sirens, simulation tools, and observatory equipment.

  6. What I learned about my profession is that it is very important to use technology , and using math skills is a big part of meteorology in order to get correct weather data. • What interested me about the articles was that it was very informative on how math, science, and technology is used in meteorology. • What I would like to learn more about my profession is what kinds of colleges have this type of profession for me tostudy, and have as a career.
