Proverbs 14:12 • “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Is The Kingdom The Same As The Church?

Church • Church = “the called out”; refers to those who have been called out of the world into fellowship with God by faith and obedience to the gospel

2 Th. 2:14 • Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Different Terms Showing Different Features Of The Church • An Army – reminding us of our continuing struggle with Satan his forces • A “Kingdom” – refers to it’s government which is a monarchy (ruled by a king)

“Church” – “Kingdom” Are Used Interchangeably • Mt. 16:18-19 • And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
