  3. Direct to Manufacturer Products • All products were in • Decision made to reprint MRS Recipe binders • Selected site for photo shoot • An opportunity to look at recipes and “fix”

  4. Photo Shoot • About 150 recipes were prepared • Changes made in recipes and in NK program • Want to use pic of service line from intro

  5. Exporting of Recipes and Ingredients • Exported Ingredients and Recipe Databases • Sent to OCN and posted on MRS Website • Separate lists for milk and ice cream productsin addition to rest of recipes

  6. Products Added • Whole grain waiver • Enriched products replaced some whole grains • New products added for 15-16

  7. Whole Grain Waiver Products • Some replaced existing products, such as enriched tortillas for whole grain tortillas • Enriched tortilla replaced whole grain as an ingredient and in recipes

  8. Whole Grain Waiver Products • Some products were added and whole grain product was retained such as biscuits • Enriched biscuits were added as an ingredient and recipes created

  10. New Products • Same product but a different manufacturer • New products such as Alfredo Sauce, chicken, etc. • Added recipes for new products, such as meatballs, Alfredo sauce, Mandarin Chicken, 5-in pizza, etc.

  11. Other Changes • All recipes have been changed from MRS 2014 to MRS 2015 • Corrections to recipes • Sugar added • Deactivated Recipes • Changes may not match

  12. Updates and Downloads on Website • Ingredient and Recipe data updates include all changes made since October 2014 • Importing this data will only change ingredients and recipes • Ingredients will change in district recipes • District menus will be updated with changes

  13. Downloads Download from MRS Website If using Internet Explorer remember to use Workaround Chrome, Firefox, and Safari should be no problem

  14. Downloads Two downloads: ingredients& recipes Import Ingredient data base first Import Recipe data base second Remember that recipes are locked

  15. A Few Notes Recipes are locked, but can be duplicated for district changes Locked recipes subgroups can be changed: for instance Pinto Beans

  17. What Will Be Next? • Change in ingredient numbers to coincide with changes in purchasing program • Nutrikids update to 16.0 • Update available in late fall

  18. A Word of Caution • Backup to either a flash drive, exterior hard drive, Dropbox, etc. • Computer may crash • MRS Database can be used
