In this article, we will discuss the license that is required to obtain before starting a food business. Along with that, we will discuss what are the benefits of obtaining this license.<br><br>Anybody who wants to start a food business in India is required to register their business by obtaining a license from FSSAI. This is called the FSSAI license. FSSAI is the concerned authority of the government of India responsible for maintaining the safety and standard quality of all the eatables manufactured by the organization based on the FSS Act, 2006. In this article, we will discuss the license that is required to obtain before starting a food business. Along with that, we will discuss what are the benefits of obtaining this license. Anybody who wants to start a food business in India is required to register their business by obtaining a license from FSSAI. This is called the FSSAI license. FSSAI is the concerned authority of the government of India responsible for maintaining the safety and standard quality of all the eatables manufactured by the organization based on the FSS Act, 2006. Thus, it is mandatory to obtain the food license before commencing food business by the food business operator. FSSAI license is of three types: FSSAI central license is applicable for those business operators who intend to operate in more than one state and/or have an annual turnover of more than 20 lakhs. FSSAI state license is required by those business operators who intend to operate in a single state and have the annual turnover of more than 12 lakhs but less than 20 lakhs. Start-up Food business Operators or small Food Business Operators with annual turnover less than 12 lakh, are required to do only registration with FSSAI for starting a business.
