  2. Encourage diligence in yourRead the Bible Through in a YearToday’s reading is Deut 13-16 Deuteronomy the summary teachings. One of the three major books found among the Dead Sea Scroll collection.

  3. Health and HealingThe primary responsibility of the individual or the church is the ministry of health. The need for the ministry of healing enters when theministry of health falls short!

  4. The self-care of a disciple’s health is a personal outside the church responsibility. As is the case for all discipleship. You have a priestly responsibility for yourself, over your children if a parent, over your family if a husband, over any group which you head.

  5. The church has an equipping responsibility concerning healing and health.Ephesians 4:11 And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, ..These are all primarily equipping (not doing it for you) ministries.(Standard WCH to counselees)

  6. Note for March 4th.Sin, by both word and use definitions, means ‘missing the mark’ set forth by ‘Torah’ as the Teachings of God.The subject of sin is not naughty things, it is the Teaching of God!‘Torah’ - God’s Teaching Word is a grace-gift of God, that in its receiving we might experience the many dimensions of ‘Shalom’, and in the events of the hazards to ‘shalom’ that we might have a repair provision that we call healing.

  7. The maintenance of healthExodus 15:26 saying, "If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I put upon the Egyptians; forI am the LORD, your healer."

  8. Note that Torah (My Words) is the communication media for ‘life and healing.’Proverbs 4:20 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. 22 For they are life to him who finds them, and healing to all his flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all vigilance; for from it flow the springs of life.

  9. Note that Torah (My Words) is the communication media forthe‘perfect health’ ofSirach 1:16 The fear of the Lord is the crown of wisdom, making peace and perfect health to flourish.A primary response of fear-awe-respect is to hearken.Sirach is in the Apocryphal section of an unabridged Bible.

  10. Balance in Healing MinistryJames 5:14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore (this is how this is supposed to work) confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous (guilt and sin reduce faith) man has great power in its effects.(The word elders used here implies balanced maturity)

  11. Psalm 38:3 ..; there is no health in my bones because of my sin. 4 For my iniquities have gone over my head; they weigh like a burden too heavy for me. 5 My wounds grow foul and fester because of my foolishness, ..In every case of distress it is wise to inquire of God in case God is trying to tell you something?Providence is a basic form of divine guidance when you are not hearkening.

  12. I am not saying that all personal sickness is connected with personal sin, although much is.We exist in a fallen world. Some things happen to us because we are in a fallen environment.Illustration of drunk driver.Christianity is given that we may be more than conquerors in this fallen world. The world-view molded by history, genetic degeneration, disease, and the etc, of drunk drivers.High church expression: sin, the devil and the world

  13. Covenant, Feasts, of which our Lord’s Supper is one.Blasphemy of the Feast Sacraments1 Corinthians 11:27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. 31 But if we judged ourselves truly, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged by the Lord, we are chastened so that we may not be condemned along with the world.I have seen the Eucharist as the receiving sacrament in ‘high-church’ healing services.

  14. Deuteronomy 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I command you this day for your good?

  15. Deuteronomy 6:1 "Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the ordinances which the LORD your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it; 2 that you may fear the LORD your God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do them;that it may go well with you, ..

  16. Matthew 6:30 .. O men of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Often the need for healing arises form a fundamental lack of the priority of seeking the kingdom.Valuing the values of the Kingover the gifts of the King.Is it the gifts or the Giver we value most?

  17. What to do When health fails.Stop the bleeding, Restore breathing, Prevent shock.Seek competent professional services as needed.Remove the hazards so the cause not be repeated.Learn from the experience.

  18. Supernatural healing is a grace (not magic) gift. When it does not happen through a process of biblical faith; something caused the non-healing!I am not implying that all personal illness and difficult circumstances are rooted in personal sin: however when ministering healing; dealing with sin is an effective place to start.

  19. John 5:13 Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place. 14 Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you." 15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.

  20. Accident, Disease, Aging or Deliverance?Matthew 15:22 And behold, a Canaanite (Gentiles) woman from that region came out and cried, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely possessed by a demon." 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, "Send her away, for she is crying after us." 24 He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me." 26 And he answered, "It is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs (Gentiles) ." 27 She said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs (Gentiles) eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." 28 Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed instantly.(The need for exorcism in of tern intertwined with the need for healing)

  21. Developed a Balanced Priestly Ministry Matthew 9:2 And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven." 3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming." 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, `Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, `Rise and walk'? 6 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins" -- he then said to the paralytic -- "Rise, take up your bed and go home."

  22. Healing as evangelisticMatthew 4:23 And he went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people. 24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them. 25 And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.

  23. Healing as evangelisticJohn 9:1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3 Jesus answered, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him. 4 We must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day; night comes, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." 6 As he said this, he spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and anointed the man's eyes with the clay, 7 saying to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing. The examples of Job and perhaps Paul

  24. Call the Doctor!(Physicians and Biblical Balance)Sirach 38:1 Honor the physician with the honor due him, according to your need of him, for the Lord created him; 2 for healing comes from the Most High, and he will receive a gift from the king. 3 The skill of the physician lifts up his head, and in the presence of great men he is admired. 4 The Lord created medicines from the earth, and a sensible man will not despise them.

  25. (Physicians and Biblical Balance)Sirach 38:5 Was not water made sweet with a tree in order that his power might be known? 6 And he gave skill to men that he might be glorified in his marvelous works. 7 By them he heals and takes away pain; 8 the pharmacist makes of them a compound. His works will never be finished; and from him health is upon the face of the earth.

  26. (Physicians and Biblical Balance)Sirach 38:9 My son, when you are sick do not be negligent, but pray to the Lord, and he will heal you. 10 Give up your faults and direct your hands aright, and cleanse your heart from all sin. 11 Offer a sweet-smelling sacrifice, and a memorial portion of fine flour, and pour oil on your offering, as much as you can afford. 12 And give the physician his place, for the Lord created him; let him not leave you, for there is need of him. 13 There is a time when success lies in the hands of physicians, 14 for they too will pray to the Lord that he should grant them success in diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.

  27. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

  28. The psychosomatic effect of the guilt of sin (positive and negative).

  29. A health advantage of forgivenessFEB 23, 2009, INTERNET– How the heart handles anger seems to predict who's at risk for a life-threatening . Negative emotions like hostility and depression have long been considered risks for developing heart disease, and deaths from rise after disasters such as earthquakes. But research released Monday goes a step farther, uncovering a telltale pattern in the of certain heart patients when they merely recall a maddening event..

  30. Once in a persons life, it will not be God’s will to heal. However, this is only once—unless God specifically reveals this to you, do not assume this applies.Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment,
