  1. DDUs & MTCC • 50 DDUs produced • 10 are at CERN • 4 used for CSC readout at MTCC, 1 for TF readout • 1-2 in use at B904, remainder are MTCC spares • 1 at UF test stand, 39 stored at OSU • MTCC performance • Emu DAQ DDUs observed 2 kinds of errors • LCT/DAV mismatch whenever Maraton LV was bad • L1A mismatch error occurred during calibration • Real problem is at CSC or PC; Jianhui has explanation • TF DDU detected 2 small problems • Minor timing bug in monitor logic: firmware fixed • Register reset 1-clock too soon, tripped FMM error bits • TF CRC word: bits reversed, trivial to fix • Work on automatic monitoring-diagnostic routines for Phase 2

EMU FED: Ready for USC55 • 5 VME crates (9Ux220 mm) ordered and delivered (need 4) • 4 CAEN VME Crate Controllers ordered and delivered • Board Production finished • All 50 DDU boards (need 36) produced and tested – Feb 2006. • All 10 DCC boards (need 8) produced and tested – Jan 2006. • All 5 Custom Backplanes (need 4) produced and tested - 2005. • Shipping boards to CERN for USC55 installation • Ready to commission FED crates in USC55 any time

  3. EMU FED: Installation Plan • USC55 installation phases • FED Crates, DDUs & DCCs: ready now, 1 day of work • Fiber installation from UXC to USC, few weeks work • Fiber blowing to be done after +endcap is lowered (Nov) • Fiber termination/patch panels: 1-2 weeks, Oct-Nov 2006 • Peripheral Control Network, GbE switches • 1-2 days work, after fiber is installed • Crate control computers are in hand • Currently in use at SX5 for MT/CC • Available manpower: 2-3 FTE as needed • Timeslot for EMU in MS Project File OK (Oct-Nov)
