  4. Downtime Bad weather, Eruption, Earthquake, Hurricane, Facility/Instrument troubles… A major repair work (dome, UPS, etc…) is expected in Summer 2019 (Aug-Sep) Maintenance is important before starting international partnership!

  5. IRD-SSP review -70 nights over 2 years (19A-20B) out of requested 175n have been approved on condition that instrument performance will be reviewed again in Apr 2019. -In S19A, 15 science nights + 2 engineering nights have been assigned. -Remaining 105 nights will be re-considered by the interim review at TAC+SAC in July 2020.

  6. Additional 30 nights request of HSC-SSP Weather factor has been worse than expected by ~15% Completion fraction: D/UD=80%, W=72% (300nights) D/UD>80%, W>80% (300 + 30nights) This request will be discussed at UM in this afternoon.

  7. Instrument Decommission Plan To reduce the operation cost COMICS  2020 FOCAS  2022 This request will be discussed at UM in this afternoon.

  10. International Partnership China: ~0.5M USD × 4 years. This may or may not go through EAO. Negotiations with China/EAO are underway. Some EAO-related science collaboration meetings were held/will be held. India: Positive discussion has started. NAOJ-DG et al. visited India in Dec 2018 and discussed with 8 institutes/universities. Canada: Positive discussion has started. See Luc Simard’s talk. Co-held a Canada-Subaru session in “Wide-field Astronomy in Canada” (Oct 11-12, 2018). Dawn: Positive discussion has started. Grant application made. See SuneToft’s talk. Concept/Scheme of Subaru international partnership is being formed. 5% upper limit is placed for international (open sky) programs from S19A.
