  2. We celebrated Israel Independence day. All the children came to school dressed in blue and white. The entire school boarded El AL airlines where we departed for Israel! We visited five cities in Israel and experienced their culture and tradition. There was a petting zoo at the kibbutz, and a baby calf was a huge highlight for the children. We had a taste of Israel by eating falafel and pita bread with hummus and Tahini. Thanks to our fabulous gourmet chef, who made all the falafel!! The children squeezed fresh orange juice as they do in the city of Jaffa, and they wrote a note to be inserted into the Western wall. A fun time at Eilat beach was spent and the children did an archeological dig and relaxed at the beach. The Tel Aviv artifact museum presented the different foods, money, tradition, and pictures in an informative way. At the end of the experience the school came together to sing Hatikvah and happy birthday to Israel and we did some Israeli dancing. לעברית

  3. לחגיגת יום העצמאות בבית ספרינו כל הילדים הגיעו לבושים בכחול לבן כל בית הספר עלה ל"טיסת אל על" ו"המראנו" לישראל.בקרנו חמש ערים בישראל והתנסינו במסורת והתרבות המקומית. הייתה פינת ליטוף בקיבוץ ובה טלה צעיר שהליטוף שלו היה שיא בפעילות הילדים. טעמנו אוכל ישראלי וכל ילד קיבל פלאפל בפיתה עם חומוס וטחינה וכל זאת תודות לטבח שלנו שהכין את הפלאפל הטעים! הילדים סחטו תפוזים טריים כמו שעושים ברחובות יפו וכתבו פתק לטמון בכותל. הילדים בילו זמן של כיף באילת , חפרו חפירות ארכיאולוגיות ונחו על החוף מוזיאון חיל האוויר בהרצלייה הציג מאכלים שונים, שטרות של כסף, מסורת ותמונות שהוסיפו מידע לילדים בסוף ההתנסות התכנס כל בית הספר יחד לשירת התקווה ויום הולדת שמח לישראל ורקדנו כמה ריקודי עם ישראליים.
