  1. Varia Book About Book : The scope of and the variety in the study of literature is unlimited. This humble book does not pretend to present all of them. The seven essays in this book constitute an attempt to engage the attention of the readers with regard to a few things, with regard to the study of literature. It brings into focus; the nature and also topics from the field of Indo-Anglian and Commonwealth literature. About Author : Dr. Sujit Bose, who has a doctorate from Jadavpur University (Kolkata), was awarded a research grant by the University Grants Commission. He went to the Commonwealth Institute (London) as a Nuffield Commonwealth Fellow. In addition to teaching English at St. Xavier’s College. Ranchi, Dr. Bose also writes articles and short stories. He has published, Attitude to Imperialism: Kipling, Forster and Paul Scott. His other publications are: Essays on Anglo- Indian Fiction, Two Bengali Poets, Talking of Literature, Michael : His English Literature, Essays on Anglo-Indian Literature and Flowers of the Soul. The author has given talks on several Literary and non-literary subjects over All India Radio, Ranchi. He has been awarded a
