CURRICULUM • 6 Classes per day • 6th, 7th & 8th grade- Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, 2 Elective choices • 6th, 7th & 8th Students who perform at a level 1 or 2 on the FSA are required to take Intensive Reading • GEM Courses • 6th grade- Pre-Algebra, Accelerated Science I • 7th grade- Algebra Honors, Accelerated Science II • 8th grade- Geometry Honors & Biology Honors • Gifted Courses • 6th, 7th & 8th grade – Language Arts, Science, Social Studies • High School Credit Courses • Algebra, Geometry • Coding, Debate • Biology • Spanish 1, Spanish 2

  7. PROMOTION CRITERIA • 3 Language Arts, Math, Science, & Social Studies Courses • 1 Semester-long course in Career Education to be completed in 7th or 8th grade • Course Recovery must be completed before promotion to high school • Pass 4 out of 6 classes to promote to next grade level
