  1. Education Welfare Officer • Meet Bev Collins our friendly EWO. She is based at St Cenydd and visits our school every week. • If you need to make an appointment please contact Mr Davies or leave a message with Mrs Harris the school secretary.

  2. Education Welfare Officer • What does Bev Collins do? • She is part of a specialist support service working in partnership with other agencies - supporting a wide range of children’s needs.

  3. Education Welfare Officer • Do you have a concern regarding your child’s attendance at school? • How can Bev help you? • She can refer a child to the Family Intervention Team (FIT) or Right From the Start. • Apply for home tuition if your child has a long term illness or injury. • Contact the School Health Nurse of GP if your child’s illness is a concern. • Support and encourage routines at home to ensure prompt attendance at school.

Education Welfare Officer • If you are facing a challenge regarding your child’s attendance - then please consider contacting Bev in order to discuss this. • Cwmaber Junior School supports regular attendance - we aim for success in partnership with parents. • Use this free service to support your child.
