THE BURNING BUSH. Exodus 3:1-4:31. WHY SEND ME?. Moses had left Egypt for 40 years He was an 80 year old man God’s response: “I will certainly be with you” (vs. 12) God is also with us too (Romans 8:31) God makes us sufficient (2 Cor 3:5-6; Phil 4:13 ) . WHAT SHALL I SAY?.

  2. WHY SEND ME? Moses had left Egypt for 40 years He was an 80 year old man God’s response: “I will certainly be with you” (vs. 12) God is also with us too (Romans 8:31) God makes us sufficient (2 Cor3:5-6; Phil 4:13)

  3. WHAT SHALL I SAY? Moses knew the Israelites would ask questions He felt inadequate, in need of guidance God’s Response: “Thus you shall say” (vs. 14) We too worry about what to say God guides us (Mark 16:15-16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

  4. WHAT IF THEY DO NOT BELIEVE? Moses was concerned about failing because he lacked faith God’s Response: • The Rod (4:2-5) • The Hand (4:6-8) • The Water (4:9) Have faith in the word’s power (Romans 10:17) We too have proofs (John 20:30-31)

  5. I AM SLOW OF SPEECH! Moses worried about his speaking ability (4:10) God’s Response: • “I will be with your mouth” (4:12) • God gave Aaron as a spokesman (4:14-16) We do not need eloquent speech (1 Cor 2:1, 3-4) Arrange studies for others (Acts 10:24,33)

  6. PLEASE SEND SOMEONE ELSE! Moses simply did not want to go (4:14) God’s Response: “Go, return to Egypt” (4:19) God does not accept no for an answer (Acts 10:9-16) We should accept our responsibilities (Esth 4:13-14)
