3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Munger University is in the infancy stage one would say so, but apparently will be wrong. Since the university is only three years old by time but ages ahead for its functioning. The institute though functioning from a temporary campus has under its belt a many as 17 constituent colleges, 12 affiliated colleges, 5 single faculty education colleges (Affiliated B. Ed. Colleges), and one affiliated law college. The university even has in this short span developed its framework for smooth operations and is determinant to take on initiatives like Vice-Chancellor and teacher interaction and new innovative courses.

4. ABOUT UNIVERSITY The university is registered under UGC and AIU so one need not worry about its affiliation. Furthermore, the university has jurisdiction over quite a large landscape therefore it is driving fat towards putting education in Bihar back on the Map. The institute’s core is to develop, ethical, empowering, and courageous graduates. That would not only be employed but also aim at employing others through their own foundations and startups. 5. CAMPUSES Between the scenic beauty of the ruins of Nalanda and Vikramshila Vishwavidlalaya is the century-old R.D and D.J College (presently an affiliated university). The University presently functions through this college’s science block and thus carries out its workings. The university also utilizes the erstwhile facilities of the college. However, in the near future, the University will eye for a permanent campus. Presently the campus at the science block houses all the required facilities of the University. The facilities available at the campus are academic blocks, sports centers, student counseling cells, administrative blocks, etc. Located near the banks of river Ganga the campus is hardly 5 Km away from the Munger airport and the Munger railway junction is only 1.6 Km away from the campus. 6. COURSES & PROGRAMS Presently the University offers courses at the UG and PG level. The PG courses however are only available at the affiliated colleges. 9. HISTORY The institute is very new as it was established in 2018. However, its history goes back to 2016 when the Bill was passed in the parliament regarding the setting up of the university. It was during a developmental tour of the chief minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar that he proposed the foundation of Munger University. The need for a university was felt and thus was successfully set up. The University however is a product of the bifurcation of the Tilak Majhi University Bhagalpur. Therefore, after the bifurcation and formation of the university, the university gained jurisdiction and affiliations over existing colleges in Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, and Khagaria under Munger Division in Bihar. Apart from these many music events were also organized by colleges participated by the institute.
