  3. Curriculum: Why We Are Unique • We provide Biblically-integrated curriculum at all grade levels, starting in pre-K. While we may use secular texts, everything done in the classrooms is taught through a Biblical worldview. Our goal is not only to educate students, but to create godly citizen scholars who will go on to college solid in their faith. • Every student takes a Bible course, grades K-12, every day. Until 9th grade, these courses focus on Bible knowledge. Starting in 9th grade, the focus becomes discipleship, apologetics, and real-world discussion. • Our secondary campus is entirely digital! Students receive digital textbooks in almost every content area. With this shift, we have upgraded almost every textbook to the latest publication offering the greatest number of resources to students. • Secondary campus is BYOD (bring your own device). Both our BYOD and digital campus are in their infancy, and we hope to improve and learn.

  6. Only at Faith West Academy… Lake West and Summer Camps International Program Learning Lab S.A.I.L.-Student Adapted Individualized Learning Park West is Faith West’s 8-acre site that includes a small recreational lake, walking trails, gazebos, grills, playgrounds, and three large homes. The summer months at Park West include four, one week, day camps.  Each camp has a 200 camper capacity.  Camp West employs junior and senior students, coaches, and FW parents as directors, counselors, concession workers, and lifeguards. Students working the camps receive special training in counseling and leadership. The park is also open daily, in the evenings, to the public for swimming, fishing, and picnics. In 2012, we started boarding international students (I20) students who wished to receive a Christian education in America. In the past two years, this program has flourished! We have a boarding house and host families, and we currently have over 20 international students from Europe and Asia. In 2014-2015, we will offer our first ESL program and will be accepting elementary international students for the first time. Faith West is hoping to partner with schools in China to open Faith West wings in their schools as well. Faith West desires to help every student find their “bent” in life. We recognize that we cannot offer everything a student may need in the regular academic classroom, especially because we are limited by the number of teachers we have an the number of classes offered. Out of this desire and reality came our Learning Lab, a digital lab manned by a math and English teacher. We utilize Alpha Omega, a digital curriculum that students complete online. This program has been incredibly successful in meeting the variety of needs our students have. We are hoping to soon offer Johns Hopkins enrichment programs to qualifying students.
