  4. Strategic Directions • Inspiring and improving through effective communication • Educating and mobilizing influential and emerging leaders • Building People, processes, and tools

  5. Inspiring and Improving through Effective Communication • GCN website:14,335 unique visitors and 395,764 hits in first ten months of the year. • Facebook: 554 fans. 125 regular weekly users. Averaging 525 visits per week. • Monthly newsletter going out to more than 1100 members. • Jim Null serving as web administrator with with Terry, Jeff and Jody managing content.

  6. Inspiring and Improving through Effective Communication • Referrals and connections facilitated through the website and by email. • Blog and twitter not very active (any volunteers?). Hoping to use twitter to communicate with cell phones in areas where trainers do not have computers, but no workable solution found.

  7. Educating and Mobilizing Influential and Emerging Leaders • TOTs taught by CMF, FAME, Equip, Healthcare Ministries (AG), Bridges of Hope, ATM, YWAM, GHNI (Europe)and Christ Church of the Valley. Several other churches have hosted NT training. WGM has one planned for next year. • Good representation for CHE at GHMC and National Missionary Convention. • 16 graduated from CHE internship in the Philippines

  8. Educating and Mobilizing Influential and Emerging Leaders • Transformational Development Conference in Ghana with 117 participants from 15 nations. • NT being rolled out as Urban CHE for majority world • Recommendations from Dr. Arnold Gorske for Best Practices • Not much progress on getting CHE into educational institutions or developing a centralized virtual reporting forum to enhance credibility.

  9. Building People, Processes, and Tools • Regional councils convened in Accra, Nairobi, Chiang Mai, and Nicaragua. Needs of fields surveyed. • Ben Yeager to serve as administrative assistant • 161new lessons added, 35 lessons revised, 16 new manuals. Feedback at cheglobal@gmail.com. • Will talk about revenue model and coordination structure now.

  10. Discussion Questions • What tasks are essential to the growth and usefulness of our network that we need to recruit volunteers to achieve? • What ideas do you have that might contribute to the development of a sustainable model for GCN providing resources for research, curriculum development and distribution, websites, communications, and other activities?
