  2. Step 1 • First we shall cut an opening in the booth furthest from the door and an opening in the floor with a ladder down to the ground level. • We will also install a door in between the two booths. • The first door will have a net over it so any attempt to enter is shattered.

  3. Step 2 • Lincoln and his family will get dropped off behind the theatre to avoid attention and the carriage will stay there until the performance is over.

  4. Step 3 • Maj. Henry Reed Rathbone will sit in the presidents original booth along with an armed guard to help protect the president at any cost. • Lincoln and his family will go past the second door and sit there.

  5. Success! • John Wilkes Booth came to the theatre and attempted to kill the president but thanks to our ingenious plan Lincoln is safe, Booth was killed, and there was only one minor injury to the innocent.

  6. What happened April 14, 1865 • Booth entered the theatre but when he opened the door he got trapped by the net we strategically placed. Major Henry Reed Rathbone and the guard attacked Booth and the Major got injured. • Lincoln heard Major Rathbone screaming and fled through the escape hatch. • The carriage picked them up and they rode away to safety.
