Chiropractors vs Doctor: Difference between them A common question that people often ask is, are chiropractors doctors. They are the non­medical doctors in the other fields of allied health care professionals like dentistry, optometry and much more.  San Fernando Valley chiropractors  get the medical degree after 8 years of training in the university. However, they are not allowed to prescribe medicines and they differ from the doctors on the following fields.  Residency and Internship Chiropractors have to undergo one year of internship that is included in their course. Residency is not compulsory but they are allowed to serve if they like. Doctors have to undergo one year of internship and 3 to 8 years of residency if they want to specialize in a particular field.  Practice Most of the chiropractors practice privately but some are hired by the health organizations, hospitals, and health systems as they have to deal with the skeletal system.  Medicine Prescription As already discussed chiropractors are not allowed to prescribe medicines but in few states, they are allowed to prescribe some generalized categories of medications. Whereas, doctors have to deal with medicines because they have been specialized in this field. They are allowed to prescribe all types of medicines.  Medical License Apart from the degree, it is very important for the doctors and the chiropractors to have a license. The patients are aware of the frauds and the government only allows the specialist to practice that has the license and he has to be certified by the governmental   authorities.   Only   the   licensed   chiropractors   and   doctors   are trustworthy.  Treatment Techniques • Chiropractors deals with the adjustment of the skeletal tissues
