  1. Test Review! Study last weeks open notebook quiz, you have the answer key!! HW: PROJECTS! PROJECTS! Submit a rough draft and I will check it. No more excepted after Monday Do Now: Think of one question that Ms. McGrath will put on the test!

  2. #1 • Perimeter: • 8 + 10 + 10 + ½ Circumference • ½ C = πd / 2 • π (8) / 2 = 4 π • Total: 28 + 4 π feet • Area: • Rectangle = L x W ½ circle = π r^2 / 2 • (8)(10) + π (4)^2 / 2 • 80 + 8 π square feet

  3. #2 • Area of square – area of circle • Square: L x W = 8 * 8 = 64 sq inches • Area of circle = π r ^2 = π (4) ^2 = 16π • Area of circle= 16 π • Total area = 64 - 16 π square inches

  4. #3 Large D = 20 ft Small D = 10 ft • Area of large circle – area of small circle • Large = π r ^2 • R = ½ d r = 10 • A = π (10)^2 = 100π • Area of small circle = π r ^2 • R = ½ d r = 5 • A = π r^2 = π(5)^2 = 25 π • Total area = 100π – 25 π = 75 π

  5. # 4 • Volume of a rectangular pyramid • V = (area of base * height) ÷ 3 • V = (4 x 6) (10) / 3 • = 240/3 = • V = 80 cubic cm

  6. #5 • Area of triangle with base of 20 and height of 5 inches • A tri = ½ b h • A = ½ (20) (5) • A = 50 square inches

  7. # 6 • Volume of a cylinder D = 30 cm ; H = 10 cm • V = π r^2 H • V = π (15)^2 (10) • V = 2250π cubic cm

  8. #7 • Volume of rectangular prism with length of 4 units, width 5 units and height of 6 units • V = lwh • V = (4)(5)(6) = 120 cubic units • Surface area: SA = 2 lw + 2 lh + 2 wh • = 2 (4) (5) + 2(4)(6) + 2 (5)(6) • = 40 + 48 + 60 = 148 square units • What if top is off? • Only one Length*width

  9. SA = lw + 2 lh + 2 wh • (4) (5) + 2(4)(6) + 2 (5)(6) • = 20 + 48 + 60 = 128 square units

  10. #8 • Area of pyramid • (Base area * height) ÷ 3 • [(4 x 7) (10)] / 3 • 280 / 3 = 93 1/3 cubic cm

  11. # 9 • Area of square – area of circle • Square = (14)(14) = 196 • A rea of circle = π r ^2 • Area = π (7) ^2 • Area = 49 π • Total area = 196 - 49 π square cm
