  1. Thinking about buying a king-size as your new mattress? When buying a King Bed, you cannot buy the bed frame and then realize it is too small for you or too big for your room size. Most people aren't aware of this, but there are different sizes of king-size beds! And each style measures differently than the others. So before spending your money on new linens or a new frame, learn about the different mattress dimensions. Many people have heard of the "California King Mattress" and also have heard of "Standard King Comforters" and "Eastern King Comforter." However, many people still wonder what the mattress comparison between a standard King and a California King is. Standard King When you ask the person at the furniture shop for a King Bed, they will, most likely, point you to a Standard King. The Standard King measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, with a total surface area of 6080 square inches. This particular type of mattress is a good choice for people who need plenty of space and are the best fit for master bedrooms. With two people, that gives each 38" with sleeping space- or less if you like to cuddle. The standard king offers the most personal space for most couples, especially if you tend to like to stretch out a bit. Basically, each partner sleeping in this bed will have about 1m to himself or herself, thereby having enough space for a sound sleep. California KingSize Mattress The California King Bed, also known as the western king, is a bed with a single huge mattress for your comfort and a healthy good night's sleep. On the other hand, tall people opt for the Cal king size because it shares a similar length with the queen-size mattress. At 72" wide and 84" long, this option still provides 36" of width for each person in a couple, and tall folks generally won't have their feet sticking out the bottom of the bed since it has an extra length of 4 inches. It is the longest mattress size available in the market so that taller people can sleep diagonally on a cal king mattress. Simply put, Cal king beds are longer and thinner, while Standard King Size Mattresses are shorter and wider. Another way to achieve a king mattress size is called the split king mattress, which is the same size as the regular king, 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. The difference is that the mattresses are two twin beds. Similarly, a split California King Dimensions can be had by connecting two twin XL mattresses side by side. As mentioned before, to get the right size that suits your personal preference, make sure you measure your room dimensions, the width, length, and depth of your eventual bed frame. Know here twin xl mattress size.

  2. You also need to consider if your mattress has a topper or if you use a mattress pad. These can increase the depth and require you to purchase fitted sheets; otherwise, you might find your bedsheets constantly coming off the edge while sleeping. Unfortunately, king sheets will not fit a California king-size mattress. Most importantly, to get the best mattress, determine the bedding material and look for a memory foam mattress. Read through online store FAQs and revert unclear to the manufacturer. You can also read through Helix Hybrid Mattress reviews on Amazon to serve as your mattress guide.
