East TennesseeChildren’s Quizzing The purpose of Children’s Quizzing is to help children: • Desire to study the Bible. • Get acquainted with basic Bible study. • Grow in understanding of the overall chronology of the Bible. • Learn that God is the central character and Hero of the Bible. • Gain increased understanding of God as He is revealed in each study. • Understand how people in the Bible interacted with God, and know how people today may do so also. • Enjoy quizzing competition. • Grow in the ability to reflect Christian attitudes and behaviors during competition.

  2. 2014 – 2015 We will exit East TN and go to Atlanta, GA

  3. RED LEVEL—grades 1st (or whenever the coach thinks the child in mature enough to participate) through third grade. BLUE LEVEL—grades fourth through sixth. • Quizzing materials are available from Nazarene Publishing House. • Red Level questions are taken directly from the Leader’s Guide. The children have three answers to choose from for the correct answer. • Blue Level questions are written by the District Quiz Director and can be taken from the questions, reading, memory verses, key words and materials from dig site. HIDE AND KEEP 15624 WEST 146TH TERR OLATHE, KS 66062 931-449-4976 WWW.hideandkeep.com Another resource available to Quiz Coaches is They have created Bible Memory CDs Hide and Keep have created songs (sometimes silly songs) to help the children remember the memory verses. Lots of our churches already use their CDs. It help to jump-start enthusiasm for Bible Memorization by using music. DVD are available with sign language or other simple movements. Global Children’s Quizzing Coordinator for the Church of the Nazarene has approved and recommends these resources.

  6. Quiz Cost/Benefits $10.00 per child for the whole year. That is 5 quiz meets. The cost is due the second week in October. This will let us plan for trophies and medals for the whole year. If cost is a problem, please let us know. We will work with you. The Benefits are great. 1265 Bible passage learned last year.
