  1. St Andrew’s School A Tour Of The School By Daniella

  2. Nursery • This is the Nursery it is found behind Walmsley House. • The children start at 3 and a half and finish at 4.

  3. Walmsley house • In Walmsley House you can find Reception to Year 2. There is also some of Prep (Prep 3 and 4). There is lots to do in Walmsley House it has its own Hall, library and playground .

  4. Oakfield House • In Oakfield House you can find the rest of Prep which are Prep 5 and 6. Oakfield house also has lots to do. It has 4 classrooms 2 are Prep 5’s and 2 are Prep 6’s. It also has a hall, a playground and a brand new ICT suite.

  5. Senior School • The senior school is home to Year 7 all the way up to Year 11. There are also 2 science labs and a food technology room. You start food technology in Year 6. You also have the PE department joined on to the blue hall.

  6. The Blue Hall • The blue hall ( also known as the wooden hall ) used to be an old church. Now it is mostly used for PE and sometimes discos.

  7. The Main School • In this part of the school you will find the reception and the headmistress’s office through the blue door. • There are 3 floors and there are many classrooms including the French Room and the ICT suite .

  8. The Bell Wing • The Bell Wing leads into the Senior school. It was named after a past headmistress. This is a door where the science labs are and also the food technology which is up the stairs.

  9. Rushworth House • This part of the school is to the right of the old building. • Like the Bell Wing it was also named after a past headmistress. • It contains the library and English for older seniors.

  10. The New Hall • This brand new hall was built in 2005 because the blue hall was not big enough. • It has all sorts of uses like some girls use it for drama, PE and even exams! • It is also used for school dinners . • It has a kitchen which cooks hot dinners for Years 7-11.

  11. Music House • This is the Music House where you have all music lessons. • There are class and individual lessons like piano, singing and loads more. • There are also groups like string group, wind and more.

  12. Technology House • This is the Technology house you have textiles on the top floor and art on the middle floor and design technology on the ground floor. • There are 3 floors and there is 1 large classroom per floor.

  13. The Playground • The playground contains an adventure park which year groups take turns on every lunchtime apart from the winter when it is not open. • It links the main school to Oakfield house. • It is also at the front of the old school. • The playground used to be an old tennis court and the school used to have its own donkey.
