First in 2009 initiative By its 200th Birthday, Miami University will be the leader in the nation among public universities having a primary emphasis on undergraduate education and also having significant graduate and research programs. • A more highly qualified student body • Greater academic support for faculty • A stronger curriculum • Richer intellectual/cultural life • Greater diversity among students and faculty • Enhanced facilities • Stronger revenue base • Improved ability to learn from other institutions
