  2. Alborz Yarahmadi and Ikemfuna Agbanusi working in Nadim’s Electrophysiology Lab We are working with the STG of the Cancer Borealis. The STG produces two primary rhythms, the pyloric rhythm and the gastric rhythm. We have been concentrating on the pyloric rhythm. The pyloric rhythm contains tri-phasic rhythm. We focus on the pacemaker kernel composed of the AB and PD neurons. In analyzing the dynamics of the neuron’s oscillatory behavior we are constructing Phase Response Curves (PRC). The PRC measures the phase shift due to perturbations at different phases along its period.

  3. Experimental PRC of PD neuron in the Stomata Gastric Nerve using relatively larger amplitudes Experimental PRC of PD neuron in the Stomata Gastric Nerve using smaller amplitudes

  4. PRC of Morris-Lecar Model with a small amplitude. Both excitatory and inhibitory PRC shown. Shown are large amplitude PRC the green is -100 units and the orangey curve is -10 units.
