CHARTER *India in Classrooms is a non-political, non-profit, non-religious organization, open to individuals of all races, nationalities and religions. *India in Classrooms is focused on providing accurate and comprehensive information about Indian history and culture to school children of all backgrounds to broaden their perspective of the world *India in Classrooms aims to raise the self esteem of young Indian Americans by projecting Indian culture in its rightful world perspective and change the present Euro-centric conditioning *India in Classrooms hopes to strengthen inter-cultural ties within neighborhoods, through its ‘World is the Family’ theme.

  4. * India in Classrooms aims to create awareness among parents about classroom instruction on India and to be alert to any misinformation on the subject * India in Classrooms has been formed to give voice to the concerns of the Indian community with regards to curriculum and multicultural activity in schools * India in Classrooms aims to improve the way Indians are perceived by Americans by dispelling myths and misunderstandings about Indian culture and history The Network does not believe in undermining or comparing with, any culture, civilization, organization or cause in its efforts to bring truthful knowledge about India to future world citizens

OUR OBJECTIVES • We must have simple objectives that can be met in a set time span • Ideally 5 members for each of the following responsibilities with a presiding chair: • MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM • Creative Designer /Researcher / Writer / Watch dog/ Speaker • LIAISON WITH AMERICAN GOVT/Hindu American Orgs. • LIAISON WITH PUBLISHERS • LIAISON WITH SCHOOLS • FUNDRAISING
