  2. Swords The Viking’s main weapon was the broad sword. Swords had hilts and were pretty heavy. If a Viking had made a cover for himself, they were usually made out plain leather and despite what they put in movies , covers never had fur on them. Swords were valuable family heirlooms and were usually passed down from father to son.

  3. Other swords have been used and still used today

  4. Battle Axes • The Vikings also used axes in battle.

  5. Other weapons The Vikings also used weapons such as the lance, the pike and bows.
