  2. History • The Philadelphia Flyers joined the NHL in 1967, along with six other teams.

  3. 1973-74 Season • In the 1973-74 season, the Philadelphia Flyers, led by Bobby Clarke, won the Stanley Cup. They became the first of the expansion teams to win the Cup.

  4. 1974-75 Season • Again, just a season after they had won their first cup, they won it again becoming the first expansion team to win two consecutive Stanley Cups.

  5. The Philadelphia Flyers are still around. They have not won a cup since their 1974-75 season, but they have gotten very close numerous times.
