Money, Money, Money!. This is a penny. A penny = 1 cent It takes 100 pennies to make 1$. A penny is worth…a wish when tossed into a well. But, it doesn’t buy much else. This is a nickel. A nickel = 5 cents It takes 20 nickels to = 1$. A nickel is worth about…one Tootsie Roll.

  6. This is a dime. A dime = 10 centsIt takes 10 dimes to = 1$.

  7. A dime is worth about… • A box of “Lemon Heads.”

  8. This is a quarter. A quarter = 25 centsIt takes 4 quarters to = 1$.

  9. A quarter is worth 1 five stick package of Juicy Fruity gum.

  10. This is a half dollar. A half dollar = 50 centsIt takes 2 half dollars to = 1$.

  11. Fifty cents will buy you one chocolate chip cookie.

  12. This is a dollar. Dollars come in coins or bills.

  13. A dollar is worth… any one of these items off of the McDonalds Dollar Menu or a soda.

  14. This is a two dollar bill.

  15. Two dollars will buy you almost one carton of eggs.

  16. This is a five dollar bill.

  17. Five dollars will buy you laundry detergent.

  18. This is a ten dollar bill.

  19. Ten dollars is worth… A T-shirt at Walmart

  20. This is a hundred dollar bill.

  21. With $100, you can buy a sweat suit and running shoes.

  22. This is a thousand dollar bill.

  23. 1,000 dollars will buy you a lap top computer.
