  3. Introduction There is a vast range of different makeup products that can be seen everywhere and it can be quite overwhelming. If you are new to makeup or not, finding the “best” products are always a must, and sometimes they are easily found in your local drugstores. One makeup product that anyone who has interest in makeup should have is liquid foundation. Here are some product tests on the drugstore liquid foundations, L’Oreal True Match, Revlon Color stay, and Cover girl Clean Normal Skin, to help you when choosing something to add to or start your makeup collection.

  4. Evaluation Criteria It is important to find the right one for you. For starters, you need one that will match your skin tone, one with a nice consistency so that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling to cakey or bare. You want something that will conceal your skin without covering it too much that you feel like your skin can’t breathe. As well, you want a liquid foundation that stays on your skin for a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes we just don’t have the time to retouch our makeup and it can also be a hassle. A liquid foundation should look good in natural light or flash photography. If you are going to an event, you obviously want to look good, especially when pictures are being taken. Lastly we can not forget the factor that everyone looks for: quality vs. price.

  8. Testing Conditions Testing conditions are very important when it comes to product testing to ensure the results are fair and accurate. When testing the foundations I made sure that I used 2 drops of each product. I also placed each foundation on my forehead and applied using my hands and fingers only. I didn’t use any primer or powder before or after applying the foundation. My face was clean with only moisturizer prior to application of foundations. I also viewed the foundations in the same lighting and used the same cellphone camera to test how the foundations looked in flash photography.

  18. Conclusion After the product testing out of the three liquid foundations I would have to say the L’Oreal True Match was the one that satisfied me the most. It met the criteria for each category very well. Although it is the most expensive out of the three, you are getting good quality for your money. It has a wide range of colours to choose from, it is easy to blend and apply, it last long and looks great on the skin. Overall it is a great product and it is shown by the positive feedback from its consumers who rate it 4.5 stars out of 5.
