Current Situation • A lot of help with little direction. • Physical, bureaucratic, cultural, and communication roadblocks delay delivery of goods and services • Non government organizations tend to pack up when money or time runs out • Emergency relief evaluations often rely on guesswork and assumptions.

  4. Types of Aid • Humanitarian supply chains focus on distributing goods and services equally and fairly to minimize loss of life and suffering. • Goods • Food, Water, Shelter • Services • Medical, Construction

  5. Design Process: • Define problem • Research to understand current situation • Narrow scope • Identify and speak with any local disaster relief nonprofits or contacts • Create prototype process • Test prototype
