  4. How many community foundations? • 36 community foundations • 2 community foundations managed by public trustees • 19 geographic sub-funds

  5. Community foundations are … Independent, place-based, community-owned philanthropic vehicles which raise funds, primarily from a specific geographic location, to give back to that community in the form of grants.

  9. Funds Under Management 24 Known = $305,312,762 Estimated total FUM = over $310 M The top 3 account for $264 M (85%) Over half have less than $1 M
