  1. Our Task! Our task was to design a bridge that spans between the length of two desk`s about 90 centimetres long. We paired up together as a team to work on and construct a bridge but first we had to get 10 photos of bridges that we liked we ended up with 18.

  2. Our top 18 bridge designs! Here are our 18 pictures of bridges that we liked and wanted our bridge to look like.

  3. Our Drawn Design! This is our top view of our drawn bridge design.

  4. Our side view and bottom view drawn design! This is our side and bottom view.

  5. Our Recourses! Pop sticks: Wood: Hot glue gun:

  6. Our Shapes We had to find different shapes that worked well together by making our bridge stronger we had many different ideas of shapes that we would of liked to use but it ended up that they were either not strong or didn’t work well with our bridge. We ended up with triangles as they were a very strong shape to use we also found out that the more triangles you use the stronger our bridge became. Here are some pictures of the shapes we used:

  7. Things that worked well! Making our base design worked fine as we new were to put the pop sticks! Us girls worked well together as we are always a good team and know how to communicate well with each other and we also have good ideas! Us girls had great ideas that took us from one bit of wood to nearly a finished bridge!

  8. Things that didn`t work well! • We had a lot of difficulties and troubles with making our bridge like: • We had no idea how to construct our bridge as us girls are better at designing. • At some points in constructing our bridge we had no idea what to do next as we were stuck. • We had to find different spaces in the room each lesson to construct our bridge but it was very hard to find a spot where there was a hot glue gun to use. • We did not have lots of time each lesson and when we got into the lesson we had to pack up.

  9. Things we could improve on! • We had many things that worked and didn`t work and there were many things we could of improved on like: • Managing our time would of helped us to finish our project quicker and get our PowerPoint finished to. • We could have been more organized with getting our recourses ready to start the lesson. • We did not have all the recourses we needed so next time when we construct something we shall bring more things to be prepared and so we know what to do with them. • Next time we could find a place where we could use a hot glue gun and all our recourses in a leson.

  10. Our finished bridge!
