  1. What is Wet Scrubber and what is its significance? When the question is to protect air from being polluted, due to manufacturing unit then, wet scrubber air pollution control devices come first in mind. It is designed specifically to remove the gases and particles from the industrial exhaust streams. This scrubber works with the help of a dirty gas stream with a scrubbing liquid that commonly includes water. Gases or particulate are gathered in the scrubbing liquid and these scrubbers are commonly ideal air pollution control device as it has the capability to gather both gas and particulate in a single system effectively. There are so many advantages of using Wet Scrubber but the first and foremost advantage of using it is the capability to protect the air from a vast range of pollutants from entering the air that might cause due to exhaust gas. Wet scrubbers are a well-known pollution control device among other air pollution controlling devices. These scrubbers are highly efficient in removing mists, liquids, and solids altogether by cooling. They also can withstand explosive as well as flammable gases securely. These scrubbers are durable and can work in any environment as it is capable to withstand high temperature. Apart from this, these scrubbers are also used to eliminate the risk of acid rains that might cause because acidic gases. Even with the scrubbers’ effectiveness, there are some operational issues with the crushing rates of the factory because of the fact that various scrubber installations lessen the boiler steam output. First of all, it occurs because of the blockage that boosts the pressure drop around the scrubbers. Then, the droplet carryover lessens the gathering efficiency and also causes wear and build-up on the boiler. Working procedure of Wet Scrubbers

  2. As we all know, water is the main solvent that is extensively used to eliminate inorganic contaminants. In the main form of wet scrubbers, water is summarized in the composite or metal container as well, the contaminated gas is passed via the water and the water helps to absorbs the contaminants as well as clean the gas that exits the scrubber. Apart from water, there are some liquids that are used to absorb solutions to remove the varied contaminants effectively. Chemical composition manipulating of the absorbing solutions modifies the entire charge that can be positively charged, non-charged, or negatively charged. As the pollutants vary in their charge so, the wet scrubbers are loaded with the liquid which fixes most effectively to eliminate the contamination from the gas. The most common scrubbing liquid is a caustic solution that is used for acid-gas control whereas sodium carbonate and calcium hydroxide are also used. Packed-Bed Wet Scrubbers Wet scrubbers help to remove the gaseous pollutants that are mentioned as absorbers. Proper contact of gas-to-liquid is very much required to get high removal efficiencies in the absorbers. There are so many wet-scrubbers that are designed specifically to remove the gaseous pollutants, with one of the famous sub-categories of the wet scrubbers called Packed-Tower, Packed-Bed, or “acid-gas”. Well, they also can gather solid particulate matter and Packed-Bed scrubbers are commonly used for the gas treatment. The packed-bed scrubbers are basically known for use in the chemical and aluminum, coke and ferroalloy, chromium electroplating, acid plants, steel mills, fertilizer plants, food and agriculture, and asphalt plants. Significance of Packed-Bed Wet Scrubbers There are consistent significances of Packed-Bed wet scrubber with the industrial scrubbers generally and those are mentioned below  Fiberglass-reinforced plastic also known as FRP constructions allows the process even in the highly corrosive atmosphere The capability of achieving high mass-transfer efficiencies A low drop of pressure- Pressure drop is actually the pressure difference that happens as exhaust gas is pulled or pushed via the scrubber and ignoring the pressure which is used to pump or to spray the liquid into the scrubber Required low capital cost and small space The packing height and type can be modified to enhance the mass transfer without requiring any new equipment purchasing Being capable to gather Particulate Matter and gases as well      These are the nature, functions, and significance of Wet Scrubber in India. These scrubbers are designed with utmost care and precision to ensure excellent performance. If you are looking for the same then, it is advisable to get
