Design Criteria • Paper for the posters, card for the packaging and foamboard outers , must come from virgin paper due to the quality needed. It will be ECO friendly. • Inks must be water based and non-toxic to make as much of the product biodegradable as possible.

  1. Design Criteria • • Paper for the posters, card for the packaging and foamboardouters, must come from virgin paper due to the quality needed. It will be ECO friendly. • • Inks must be water based and non-toxic to make as much of the product biodegradable as possible. • • Display products must flat pack so less space is used in transport and storage to reduce emissions and energy. • • The display stand may include the manufacturers logo and other images, but care will be taken to ensure it is not specific to this range so it can be re-used for other ranges of fragrances from the same manufacturer. • • Clear acrylic sheet and foamboard will be used to make the display stand prototype (POS). • • Solid Bleached Cartonboard will be used for the packaging net. • • Posters will be gloss finished paper. • • All products will be manufactured as a one off in school using the tools and equipment . • Target Market. • • I want a wide target market even • though it will be exclusive. I will have an • aftershave package and a perfume • package. • • It will be a trendy product for at • people travelling for pleasure and • business. • • It is for people who prefer a • ‘branded image’ and are willing to pay a • premium for this. • • There will be no culturally offensive images used and all materials will be sourced ethically. • There will be a combination of materials used for the display. • People who are travelling on business are usually in well-paid professions and people going on holiday like to splash out to look and smell good. I will create a brand image for this. • • If testing results in 2 separate gender based packages then these will have to be different sizes to accommodate the sizes of bottles commonly available.
