  3. Meet the Characters • Meet Stanley Yelnats- he has never went to camp before & digs holes every day. He’s sent to camp Green Lake. • Meet Zero- He’s a little boy that likes to dig holes & he don’t know anything. • Meet X-Ray- he’s the boss of all the boys at camp Green Lake. • Meet Mr. Sir- he lives in dessert, smokes cigars, & eats sunflower seeds. That’s Zero. This is Mr. Sir That’s X-Ray

  4. The Setting • Ok, the setting of the book called Holes takes place in the dessert of a waste land where there’s a camp called, Camp Green Lake. The season of the story is in the summer. The last thing it takes place is in the day time.

  5. Author’s Purpose • Authors purpose in the story is to entertain the reader about the story he wrote. Its also to persuade about Stanley's experience at Camp Green Lake. It kind of shows how why he wrote it.

  6. Summary of Holes • The story of Holes is about this character named Stanley (Shia LaBouf) has been sent to this camp called Camp Green lake. It was an all boys camp where he 1rst met Mr. Sir (Don Henley) has been eating sunflower seeds. Stanley’s nick name is Caveman. He last met a boy named Zero (Khleo Thomas) that likes to dig holes. Then Stanley finds a lipstick of a person named Kissin Kate Barlow (Patricia Arquette) who kisses people she killed. Then Zero was gone & Stanley had to find him. When he found him they went under an old boat & found bottles. Then they drinked Sploosh. Then they went back to camp.
