  2. Why to Use Wikis Collection of works to share with other people It acts as a folder where a person can upload anything from a word document to a YouTube video Wiki allows a person to publish their work Wikis are useful tools for teachers (many sites offer unlimited free space for educational purposes)

  3. Tabs in a Wiki There are four different tabs in a Wiki The first tab is the users individual page and uploads The second tab is a Discussion tab so that different people can make comments or if our group wanted to take more about what our presentation is for The History tab keeps track of changes made to the Wiki and what changes that were made For example if I were to change a picture on my page the date would be recorded. I could then go back and click the date and see what I changed on that day The last tab is the Notify Me tab is another tab that keeps track of changes but people can be notified of the change through the e-mail they signed up through

  4. How to Use A Wiki Wikis are easy and simple to use the first thing a person needs is a Username and a Password Once they have signed in they can add as many pages as they would like so as to upload information Wikis are based on a person’s own creativeness and style of uploading information Once the user as created a New Page they can edit and upload as much as they want The thing about uploading videos is that the person uploading the video to the Wiki needs the embed code other wise the video will show up as a link The way to upload videos is through the Widget button on the tool bar in edit once the editor has the embed code they click other in the widget tool and copy the embed code in

  6. WikiSpaces in Careers • Education- Wiki’s are great for education. They allow students to collaborate on group projects, let parents see what is happening in the classroom, and connects teachers with each other and them ideas for their classrooms. • Business- Wiki’s help business keep track of their documents and inventory all in place. It could also help Business associates collaborate on a project/account. • Doctor’s- Wiki’s could help doctor’s working on a patients case by having the info for everyone to see, instead of waiting for a medical chart. It could also help doctor’s compare cases. • Lawyers- Wiki’s could help lawyers get their cases in order and help them keep everything in one location, instead of locating ten pieces of paper.
