  1. Internet in Africa which creates a positive impact on life in sub- Saharan Africa In the last few years, the sub-Saharan African region has witnessed dramatic gains in internet use in Africa. While it is a positive step towards digital development in Africa it has its problems. The Rapid growth of Internet in Africa is already creating problems like political targeting and manipulation, fake news, and financial scams among other issues. However, research shows that most Africans feel positive about the role of the Internet in their lives. Most people living in SASE Africa and Middle East say that the increasing usage of the internet has improved their education sector significantly. They also point out that internet connectivity has helped them to grow economically, be aware of politics and improve their personal relationships as well. The survey conducted in the African region has also indicated that most Africans use their mobile phones for entertainment and social purposes. However many people also use their mobile devices for receiving and sending payments. The study has also indicated that the younger generation, more educated and higher-income people are inclined to use the internet. These people are the ones who own a Smartphone and often engage in social networking.

  2. A gap in the usage of the internet Globally internet usage is very common in the Well their Nations. The researchers point out that the percentage of people connected to the internet is directly associated with the Gross Domestic Product per capita of the country. If you consider the regions of Africa you will find that the sub-Saharan area is where the internet usage is lowest. Compared to that about half the population of South Africa is online. Having said that, in the last few years the gap between the advanced economy and the emerging economy has narrowed significantly when it comes to internet usage. Internet usage in economically advanced countries has plateaued in recent years and the sub- Saharan countries have shown a rapid spike in the last few years. In 2014 about 15% of the Africans living in the sub-Saharan region owned a smartphone. Compared to that about 33% of sub-Saharan Africans on a smartphone today. The researchers hope that the number of people connected to the Internet will rise significantly in the upcoming days. Projections have painted that the smartphone adoption rate will double by 2025. Socializing is popular on the internet

  3. As people across the African region are getting online new opportunities are coming into focus to the people of this region. Africans of these regions are using the internet for business education and communication through social network channels. Studies have shown that most sub-Saharan African use the internet to stay in touch with their friends and family. About 8 people among 10 have said that they have been using the internet to stay in touch with their loved ones. Apart from that, about 53 % of internet users collect news and information about politics. 51% of them gather news about government services. Another forty-two percent of people use the internet to collect information about medicine and health issues. There is a huge difference between the smartphone user and the basic phone user. The internet connectivity in Africa is widening the gap between these two users. Researchers think that in the upcoming years, internet connectivity will help the African Nations to move forward and be at par with the rest of the world.
