  1. national taco day! 10.04.22 Take out notebook for a warm-up. Agenda: • Warm-up • Frayer Day choose only ONE List your daily classroom supplies here.

  2. Frayer Day!!!

  3. Warm-up Parallel/Perpendicular Directions: Tell whether each of the following are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Explain your reasoning. 1. y = 1/2x - 4 y = 2x + 5 2.y - 4 = -3( x + 7) y = -3x - 9 3. 3x + 2y = 24 y = ⅔ x + 5

  4. Warm-up Parallel/Perpendicular Directions: Tell whether each of the following are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Explain your reasoning. 1. y = 1/2x - 4 y = 2x + 5 2. y - 4 = -3( x + 7) y = -3x - 9 3. 3x + 2y = 24 y = ⅔ x + 5 These lines are neither parallel nor perpendicular. The slopes are not the same nor are they opposite reciprocals.

  5. These lines are parallel. Both lines have a slope of -3.

  6. These lines are parallel. Both lines have a slope of -3. These are perpendicular. When we solve the top equation for y, we get y = -3/2 x + 12. The slopes are opposite reciprocals of each other.
