  5. The 10 tips: writing a successful grant proposal

  6. 1- Start with the pitch – sell your idea! 2- Use active tenses and tone. 3- Use brief and direct sentences. 4- Avoid insider jargon and acronyms. 5- Avoid generalizations. Stay focused!

  7. 6- Check your spelling and language. 7- Use illustrations to simplify your content. The easier to read and understand, the more likeable! 8- Avoid unsupported claims. 9- Link methodology to measurable objectives. 10- Perfect your abstract.

  9. Seek feedback and review Why are researchers sometimes shy to seek constructive feedback? Howard Aiken – Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921: “Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.”
