FAMMATRE 3 CLASSROOMS UPDATE • Current status: • Budget: $1.65M • Construction documents are in the works using pre-approved plan • Target DSA “over the counter” review March 16 • Lease, leaseback with Bruns Belmont for the building. Award March 20 • Bid sitework and utilities. Award April 3 • Start construction end of April • Complete construction mid August

  7. SOLAR PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Budget: $4.7M • Request for Proposals is being drafted by KPDC • Send to solar providers in March • Receive proposals and select solar provider in April • April notice to proceed with design • September or October possible construction start

STEINDORF PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Budget: $16.5M • Committee established STEAM requirements • Curriculum synopsis board presentation tonight • Building requirements board presentation tonight • Proceed with Schematic Design (SD) • SD presentation to board on April 17 • April – May. Pause until bond election. • June 2014 – April 2015 CEQA, construction documents, permitting and bidding • May 2015 construction start

  11. STEINDORF PROJECT UPDATE • STEAM Space Requirements: • Modernize existing buildings totaling 25,000 sf and add two new buildings totaling 9,000 sf. Sustainable construction with LEED certification. • 2 modernized classrooms per grade K8 = 18 CR’s (1 is new) • Flexible multi-use space for dining, performing arts, PE • Typical administrative support spaces and restrooms • Flexible Media Center • Flexible Makers Labs • Flexible Science Lab • Flexible outdoor learning spaces in courtyards • Outdoor amphitheater for performing arts • Parking and play areas

Could be quickly renovated and leased along with some of maintenance yard. • Build a new smaller workshop. 2,000 sf • Expand maintenance yard into front parking lot. • Estimated cost around $1.3M
