  2. Math TAKS! • Am I pencil proofing? • Am I reading-through my work again? • Am I underlining? • Am I circling data? • Am I reading the problem over and over again? • If the answer is “Yes.” to all of these you are sure to pass!

  3. Reading TAKS! • Am I comprehending what I’m reading? • Am I proving my answers? • Am I reading carefully? • Am I rechecking my work? • Do my answers make sense? • If the answer is “Of course!” to all of these you're sure to exceed!

  4. Writing TAKS! • Am I checking for bad grammar, incorrect punctuation, & incorrect spelling? • Does my story make sense? • Am I writing 5 PARAGRAPHS? • Will the readers understand it? • Will the Austin Ladies catch it? • If the answer is “Yep!” to all of these (except for the Austin Ladies one) you're sure to succeed!
