Clinton Grove Elementary School Mission/Vision: Prepare all students for further schooling and for their ultimate role as productive members of society by assuring that they have acquired the following:*  Functional knowledge of reading, mathematics, and writing*  Basic knowledge of the natural world and man's relationship to it*  Respect for self and others*  The ability to set and fulfill realistic goals 

  2. CGES History CGES Program • 1868- Martha J. Smith was appointed to open the Clinton Grove Elementary School as Robeystown School , No.1, District 9 and organize the school’s organization together with the other five men as Board of Trustees. Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum • August 1878- the deed to the land was granted to the Board of School Commissioners. Curriculum Framework Progress Guides • January, 1926- The Board of School Commissioners has agreed to replace the building due to the increasing number of students. Houghton Mifflin Reading / America’s Choice • 1929- The Robystown School was sold to Clinton American Legion Post #249. The new building was finally constructed and the name was changed to Clinton Grove Elementary School.
