Objectives of AVID • To prepare and support students for entry into the most rigorous high school courses • To empower students to achieve academic excellence • To improve organizational skills • To provide academic instruction and other support to students to prepare them for eligibility to four-year colleges and universities • To increase student involvement in community services • Be accepted to a 4-year college
