    1. GOODLUCK MODULAR KITCHEN– Helping You Deliver Dream Kitchens

    3. • With a highly successful. retail showroom in Mumbai We have moved from selling a product to selling a service • GOODLUCK has installed over 1000 complete kitchens in the last three years with an average of 10 kitchens sold per month • Over the years GOODLUCK has developed time-proven and successful processes and systems covering the entire spectrum of the business value chain • This presentation will take you through the entire process of installing a kitchen, right from the time the customer walks-in till the time you deliver a complete and functional kitchen

    5. The frontline designer takes the client through the displayed kitchens and educates him about the brand offering: - The wide range of Indian & imported components available with GOODLUCK

    6. After taking him around the showroom, the frontline designer requests the client to fill a ADDRESS OF SITE as a first step towards initiating a relationship with the client The details from this form are compiled into an excel report comprising of 5 worksheets with each worksheet building from the previous one. These worksheets are updated regularly as the client moves towards finalizing the site visit or vice versa

    8. Step 2 : Site Visit

    9. The site engineer always carries along with him a form, which he uses as a checklist to ensure that all the essential information has been collected • On site he takes photographs of the client’s existing kitchen & prepares a rough drawing of the same (which he fairs on reaching office)

    10. Step 3 : Hand over details to the designer

    11. Within 2 working days the interior designer prepares 2 drawings (each at a different price point) based on the site engineer’s inputs One drawing option is of a basic kitchen at the minimum possible price. The second option is of a reasonably loaded kitchen at a feasible price.

    12. • On receiving the quotations, the designer checks them for any discrepancies; and gets them corrected

    13. Step 4 : Detailed discussions with the client

    14. The client chooses a drawing according to his preference and gives his suggestions/reservations on the selected drawing. If the changes are small (both in the drawing & quotation) the designer does the correction then and there. However if there are major changes, another meeting is fixed up to showcase the same

    15. However, the design changes if any is done in showroom at the time of finalization Meanwhile as he goes back and forth with his discussions with the client, the designer prepares a summary of his meeting with the client. He drafts a report wherein he grades the client as per his estimation of the probability of the site being finalized.

    16. After all the discussions, the designer prepares a print out of drawing and estimate incorporating the client’s suggestions The client gives his approval and signs on the final papers

    18. Step 5 : Finalization

    19. • Once the client approves the drawing, his signatures are taken on the following set of documents: - a summarized version of the Status estimate i.e. the cost of the different components required for the kitchen, civil estimate & carpentry estimate - final discussion points - the final drawing

    20. Payment terms: – For full modular kitchen/ non-standard accessories/ shutters: 50% advance and balance 50% 3 days prior to delivery of material on site - For new/existing civil kitchen: 10,000 advance, 50% of total kitchen value before ordering material & remaining 50%, 3 days prior to delivery of material – For standard accessories/ appliances: 100% advance – For civil work: 60% advance for material, 30% payment against delivery of the material & balance 10% after completion of civil work

    21. Step 6 : Recheck all the details

    22. The changes, if any, are conveyed to the designer, who makes the corrections and gives it to the client for approval After finalization of the kitchen, the designer first prepares a file containing all the essential details of the client/kitchen, namely: - the final drawing with signatures (color scheme in case of multi - coloured shutters) and details about the placement of products - the list of accessories required - excel detailed quotes - summary papers, the civil estimate, carpentry estimate and civil and electrical drawing - discussion papers which clearly define the exact role GOODLUCK is going to play in the installation of the kitchen The designer hands over this file to the installation team. According to the Kitchen Type, the advance is collected and the payment receipts are handed over to the accounts department

    23. Step 7 : Installation

    24. The Installation team first checks whether all the summary papers/ civil & electrical drawings/ other details required are there in the file. To ensure that none of the papers are missing the file is checked against a checklist Missing documents, if any, are communicated to the Designer, who specifies the amount of time in which they will get back with all the missing details Once they have all the details in hand, the installation department organizes to get the site checked for any problems that may occur during installation, for eg. a cabinet may have to be adjusted due to the presence of a column, beam or electrical point, etc.

    25. At the site inspection, all the minute details are checked and the discrepancies, if any, are conveyed to the designer who in turn conveys it to the client and his approval is taken on the same. If required, a fresh drawing is prepared by the designer and handed over to the installation team Once the drawing is perfected, the installation team completely takes over the charge. The designer’s main job is to ensure that the client finalizes the kitchen with us after the site visit. It is not possible for him/her to keep a track of all the sites that are under construction and get in fresh clients at the same time. Besides installation is a detailed technical process, while the designer is more well-versed with the design/visual/ look elements. So, once the installation begins the designers role is restricted mainly to liaisoning with the client for major changes, if at all required

    26. If the drawing is OK, then the civil and electrical work begins (either through GOODLUCK’s contractor or the client’s) The installation department coordinates the schedule of the client and the carpenters. The civil work gets completed in 8 days, after which the framing is scheduled IF REQUIRED. If there is work going on simultaneously at multiple sites, then the carpenter coordinates the schedules on a priority basis depending on which client’s job is urgent etc. Just before the framing starts, the designer follows up with the client for the balance 50% payment so that the order can be raised and the material reaches on site, as soon as the framing is complete.

    27. Once the civil/electrical work is complete, the site supervisor checks whether it has been done as per the approved drawing and the variations, if any, are communicated to the contractor for rectification In case of civil kitchen, the carpenter does the framing & gives the actual measurements of the shutters, cabinets & accessories that are required In case of modular kitchens, the contractor confirms the dimensions of the material required to be ordered to complete the site as per the drawing

    28. After getting measurements from the contractor the site coordinator discusses the same with carpenter The purchase orders of shutters & carcasses, hardware, glass & accessories are faxed to the various suppliers After the order is raised, it takes 21 days for the material to reach the godown. On reaching the godown, the material is checked by the site supervisor or his assistant for quality & accuracy as per the order. The balance material, if any, is procured on a speedy basis. And the time required for the same is conveyed to the client

    31. Any balance miscellaneous items which can be procured on a speedy basis is arranged for. The time required for the same is conveyed to the client The site supervisor checks whether the kitchen is complete and functional as promised to the client. If there is some minor pending work, a list of the same is made and client’s signatures are taken on the site completion certificate The client gives a feedback form as a testimony to completion of kitchen.
