  4. O what shall I render for love so unbounded that led you, dear Savior, for sinners to die? Receive, I beseech you, my heart's humble offering: Thanksgiving and praises my glad heart upraises to you, Lord, on high.

  5. And when night approaches with curtains of darkness, my eyes view your glories, the heavens declare; and back of the starlight I know my Creator, // in waking or sleeping is lovingly keeping my life in his care. //

  6. I ne’er can repay you with gold or with silver for all you did suffer, dear Savior, for me; There’s nought I can give you for your love so boundless. For joy I am singing, my gratitude bringing an offering to you.
