  2. We invented the NHS Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan established the NHS in 1948. He was from Tredegar.

  3. We have our own language Credit: DaraJasumani Welsh is used on road and shop signs and taught in schools. We have our own TV channel, S4C, and books and websites are authored or translated into Welsh.

Tanni Grey- Thompson holds over 30 world records and has 11 Paralympic gold medals. She won 6 London Marathons. Colin Jackson was 110m hurdles champion three times and held the world record for over a decade.
