  5. 2019 Areas of Emphasis Foundational training • Servant Leadership training for all executives, managers and clinical leaders • LEAN/Six Sigma training for selected executives, managers and clinical leaders • Rollout of AIDET staff training to strengthen patient communication and service • Aggressive and targeted access improvement projects • Organizational and clinic specific • Tangible improvements relative to patient access • Project leaders will apply Lean/Six Sigma principles

  6. 2019 Areas of Emphasis Implementation of core IT/infrastructure • New EHR selection and implementation plan • Business system automation • Population health software implementation Evaluation and development of recommendationsfor: • Service expansion • Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) strategy Execution of deliberate community engagement • Visibility and engagement strategy for CEO and Chiefs • Elevate exposure, presence and reputation of NCHS • Develop a compellingand comprehensive fund development plan

Strategic Oversight- BOD Ideas for discussion: Strategic Discussions • Streamline approach to standing agenda items • Identify more opportunities for consent agenda items BOD Committees • Re-evaluate the need for each committee • Develop committee charters or shared agreements to guide appropriate and focused discussions Identify Strategic Plan Areas of Interest • Develop a BOD education plan and schedule

Monitoring Progress- Staff • Ideas for discussion: • Dashboard Report(s) • Operational performance • Strategic plan priorities • Quarterly Sub-Committee Meetings • Work with BOD sub-committee (TBD) quarterly • Review progress, challenges, lessons learned and next quarter planned activities • Share any written updates and will give verbal update to full BOD

Monitoring Progress- Staff • Ideas for discussion: • Board Topical Discussions • CEO will develop annual schedule of at least quarterly strategic discussions • Presentations, advanced materials, outside speakers/experts • Emphasized BOD engagement and discussion • Annual Retreat / Strategic Plan Review • Annual review of strategic plan progress • Written update outlining progress against defined measures • Discussion on changing landscape • Review of lessons learned and proposed next year focus
