  1. California State University, Stanislaus Climatology ~ Fall 2010 By: Armand Lobao

  2. Follow the Money $$ Is Global Warming about Science? Or Profit!

  3. Who are some of the Players? • Al Gore • James Hanson ~ NASA • Maurice Strong ~ U.N. Environment Program • George Soros • David Frantz ~ Director of Loan Guarantee Office for the Department of Energy • Doris Duke Charitable Foundation • RajendraPachauri ~ Climate Chief – U.N. ~ IPCC • Michael E. Mann ~ “Hockey Stick” • So many more…

  4. Al Gore • Generation Investment Management • Evil corporation that deals in carbon offsets • Gore is the Chairman of the Board • So Al Gore buys carbon credits from his own company! • So that’s how the RICH get RICHER! • I see how its done, can you say SCAM? • Won the Nobel Peace Prize ????.

  5. James Hanson ~ Chief Climate Scientist @ NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies • 2001 ~ won $250,000.00 Heinz Award • For his exemplary leadership in the critical debate over the threat of global climate change. • Teresa Heinz (John Kerry’s moneybag) • In 2004, Hanson endorsed John Kerry for President. • 2007 ~ Co-winner of $1,000,000.00 Dan David Prize • For his contributions to climate research.

  6. Climate Research Institute ~ Britain • At the center of “Climategate” • Director Phil Jones • Between 2000 ~ 2006 received $19 million • In the previous decade < $3 million • "If you torture data long enough, it will confess.“ ~Economist Ronald Coase

  7. Department of Energy • Loan guarantee program • $38.5 billion ~ Fiscal year 2008 • 10 billion ~ renewable energy & transmission lines • 18.5 billion ~ nuclear power facilities • 2 billion ~ uranium enrichment • 8 billion ~ fossil energy projects • $98 billion ~ Current fiscal year 2010 • 50 billion ~ nuclear power facilities (tagged for nuclear)

  8. American Recovery & Reinvestment Act • Your money hard at work! • $8.33 billion ~ 2 nuclear reactors in Geogia • $535 million ~ innovative solar panels • $16 million ~ wind turbine plant expansion in Idaho • $245 million ~ to build activated carbon facility • $1.37 billion ~ 3 utility scale solar power plants • $117 million ~ to install 12 wind turbine generators, HI • $72 million ~ to build “SageGlass” facility • $5.9 billion ~ Ford Motor Co. – transform factories … • $465 million ~ Tesla Motors, sedan, battery packs …, CA • $528 million ~ develop 2 lines of plug-in hybrids • $1.4 billion ~ Nissan Motors

  9. Loan Guarantee Program ~ 2010

  10. Chicago Climate Exchange ~ CCX • Started by Professor Richard Sandor, of Northwestern University with $1.1 million in grants from the Joyce Foundation (President Obama was a board member when they awarded the grant) • Forecasted growth ~ $500 billion ~ $10 trillion • October 21, 2010 ~ announced that it will cease carbon trading at the end of the year. • Sandor was able to net $98.5 million for his stake of 16.5% when CCX sold.

  11. RajendraPachauri ~ Climate Chief – U.N. ~ IPCC • Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) ~ New Delhi • Claimed that most of the Himalayan glaciers were likely to melt by 2035 (IPCC 2007) • Awarded • $482,000 from Carnegie Corp. of N.Y. • Majority of $4 million grant from E.U. • Pachauri and the IPCC has now admitted that the claim had no scientific basis. • Pachauri also received the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore for their “work” on global warming

  12. George Soros • The Puppet Master • Open Society Institute ~ $720,000 to James Hanson • Pledged $1 billion to clean energy technology • “…overpopulation should be the focus of their efforts, that it should be presented as an environmental threat, and that the response needed to be free of governments and the democratic process.” • “This is something so nightmarish that everyone in this group agreed it needs big-brain answers,” said the guest. “They need to be independent of government agencies, which are unable to head off the disaster we all see looming.”

  13. George Soros ~ continued • Appointed to the U.N. panel to oversee the collection and distribution of $100 billion by 2020 • “international leaders” agreed that it would be necessary for the developed world to fork over $100 billion by 2020 during the Copenhagen climate summit. But the methodology and details of this transfer remain a point of consternation and contention. • the same George Soros who has railed against American independence and sovereignty is now organizing a massive wealth transfer to third world countries in the name of environmentalism.

  14. BIG MONEY • 12/2009 ~ European Commission appropriates $3,000,000,000 (3 billion) for climate research, which does not include grants from EU member gov’t. • United States • $1,300,000,000 (1.3 billion) on NASA’s climate efforts • $400,000,000 on NOAA’s • $300,000,000 ~ National Science Foundation • California • 600,000,000 ~ on our own climate initiative, cause we have money growing on trees.

  15. Some private companies; • 2002 ExxonMobil ~ $100,000,000 to establish a Global Climate & Energy Project @ Stanford University • 2006 Richard Branson (Virgin Atlantic) pledged $3,000,000,000 to fight global warming • He has promised to pay $25 million to anyone who develops a method to cleanse at least 1 billion tons of CO2 annually • Doris Duke Charitable Foundation • George Soros ~ many groups, institutes, organizations • Gates Foundation

  16. "Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon … Nothing wrong with making money at all. But when money becomes the motivation for a scientific conclusion, then we have a problem. For many, global warming is a big cash grab." • ~ James Spann, meteorologist

  17. Conclusion • Money & greed drive the system • Individuals • Corporations • Institutions • Panic Politics • What can you do?
