Takingintoaccountthisscenario, Mexico, anemerging country in spaceactivities, seeks to use space to tackletheseweaknesessesand help macro indicators ¨look better¨. ThroughtheMexicanSpace Agency, sixyearsafteritscreation, theseprojects are beingcarriedout:
PARTNERSHIPSfocusedonspaceinfrastructure, theset of tangible and intangible assetsneededforthestudy, access, exploration, use and exploitation of space, may be thebackbonethatsupportsthedevelopment of spaceprogramsforspaceemergingcountries, whichmay open opportunities in keyareas and projectssuch as:
TheMexicanSpaceProgramenvisagesthreemid-and-long-termobjectives:TheMexicanSpaceProgramenvisagesthreemid-and-long-termobjectives: • To developanearlywarningsystemthathelps in themitigation, prevention and rapid response to emergencies and disastersderivedfrom natural phenomena. • To develop a broadbandinfrastructure, incorporating new technologies and propitiatingtheconstruction of nationalcapacitiesforthefollowingsatellitegenerations. • To anchor Mexico in theinternationalspacecommunity in the free, peaceful, effective and sustainable use of space, in order to takeonnationaldemands and share global challenges...

REMARKS • In thedawn of a fourthtechnologicalrevolution, whenidentifyingweaknessesand strengths, emergingcountries in spaceactivitieshavetheopportunity to insertthemselves, throughalliances as keytool, even more intothespacedynamics, in order to helpaccomplishtheirnationalobjectivesand at thesametime contribute to maintaining a safe and sustainablespaceenvironment, forthebenefit of the global community and in supportfortheachievement of the UN SDGs. • Thereare indeedchallenges,as well as variouselementsthatdetermine successfulalliances. One of thesechallengesthathas beenidentifiedbyemergingcountriesisCapacityBuilding. As long as thereisempowermentthroughknowledge and developmentof skills and dissemination of this new knowledge, therewill be sources of inspirationthat lead to innovation and competitiviness, keyaspects to achievingsuccess at alllevels. • Open-dooriniciativesshould be builtbygovernments and privatesector in order to trulyallowtheseassociations to materialize, takinga stepfurther in shaping a global agenda, supportedbytheresourcesfromspace and thewillingness of spaceactors.
