The Pearson Test Of English (PTE) is an English proficiency test taken by students who want to pursue their higher study abroad.  • The PTE test measures your English language proficiency in 4 formats, • Speaking & writing • Reading • Listening • NOTE: The speaking and writing modules of the PTE exam come under the same section. • In this blog, we are going to discuss the PTE reading test format.   3. PTE Reading Test Format • The PTE reading is the second part of the test. In this module, you will be instructed to read the paragraph given on the monitor. They examine your reading through five different kinds of reading tasks.  • This session will take 32 – 41 seconds to complete. This timing is for the entire section, so be prepared to answer all the questions quickly.   4. Multiple-Choice Question And Single Answer • You will be presented with a passage. Down the passage, you will see a question with multiple answers. You need to select only one answer among the multiple answers which you think is the right one. This task also gives you a score for the correct answer, and no score is given for the incorrect answers. • Multiple Choice Question And Multiple Answer • You will be given a passage, and down the passage, you can see some questions with multiple answers related to the passage. • This time you need to go through the passage and choose multiple answers among many. This task gives you partial scoring based on how many correct answers you have chosen. Each correct answer will get a +1 mark, and for each wrong answer, you will lose 1 mark. 

  5. Reorder Paragraph • It is like a jumbled sentence. You will have a blank space on your right-hand side. On the left-hand side, you will have unarranged sentences. You need to drag the sentence and arrange it in order and place them on the right-hand side in order. • Fill In The Blanks-Reading • On the monitor, you will see a passage with blanks. Below the passage, you will see some options to choose from. You need to drag and drop the answer in the correct place. Each correct word will get the point.   6. Fill In The Blanks-Writing • On the monitor, you will see a passage with blanks. But in this type, you will not be given a choice to drag and drop the answer.
