  2. Key Facts • There is no definitive way of measuring the size of the migrant work force. • The data used from NINO allocations and WRS is subject to all migrant workers and employers following given guidelines. This may not be the case.

  3. Monitoring Trends In Migration • Two sources of data readily available that provide some indication of migration trends • National Insurance Number Allocations • A8 Countries Worker Registration Scheme (WRS) • These provide indications of broad trends in immigration flows.
